OP deliveries - always long and painful???

Am 38+3 and mylittle buggerbaby has just turned back to back. I have had 3 previous very quick and easy deliveries, 90 mins, 55 mins and 45 mins.

Can not believe this baby has gone op, the midwives have said he could easily turn again, probably in labour, but of course he may well not.

Has anyone had a quick labour/delivery with an OP baby?

Sleep on your left hand side as well. That definitely helps. DD2 was OP throughout labour and came out looking upwards. Just had ds1 9 weeks ago, he was back to back at 40 weeks but had turned the right way by the time he arrived at 40+12.

DS was OP. Was 2cm dilated at 2am and he was born at 5:20am in a few easy pushes. Most of the pain was in my back and felt like bad period pain.

Wow tacky those labour pom poms sure do work!!!

Am lying in bed gazing at my beautiful 7lbs 13.5 oz baby boy born at 02.20 delivered by his daddy after 20 minute labour!

He must ve turned as was pushing as could still feel all limbs at front at 01.50 but came out right way up!

Was back in bed at 04.50 but can t sleep can t quite believe it!!!

Thanks again everyone for your replies and best wishes xx

41hrs and dreadful He came out face up.

ds2 was also OP, but turned during labour. It was a wonderful birth. The tow labours were so different, the levels of pain completely different.

I turned ds2 by getting on all fours - the baby can then swing round. Will probably swing back again but keep trying as this worked with ds2. Good luck!!

My first was op and 24 hours but pain not to bad compared to dd 10hours so I dont think it was that much longer considering first baby and op.

I think you will be fine good luck.
