AAAARGH! Any tips for getting the TENS sticky pads to actually stick please?

Waters have well and truly broken and have been using the TENS machine for about 5 hours now (contractions about every 20 minutes or so) which is helping...WHEN the sticky pads are in place.

Every other time a contraction starts I discover the pads stuck to various places on the inside of my top and have to scrabble around to try and get them back in place. Surely I must be doing something wrong since I haven't heard anyone else complain about them falling off all the time.

I have even purposefully not moisturised my skin for the past 2 weeks knowing it would not help with sticking the pads on.

Has anyone got any tips for keeping them in place please? Never mind the pain...I'm quite close to roaring/screaming with rage.

TIA

I'm sorry I don't know. Double-sided stick-tape?

Good luck. Wishing you a smooth and easy birth.

use a roll of elastoplast and stick over the top of the pads once they are in position.

I had the same problem.

Good luck!

This is probably a bit late but try rubbing a drop of water into each pad, and sticking them together briefly (pop them in the fridge too if poss). Only other advice is to get someone else to put them on you to ensure they're positioned well and have no corners sticking up anywhere...

Good Luck!

Thanks all for the suggestions - we resorted to cutting up a roll of elastoplast and using it like sellotape in the end. The only problem was for the poor anaesthetist who had to clean up my lower back and prise them all off before putting in the epidural! Had a very good birth thank you.
