Hi ladies Will warn you I am being graphic sorry for tmi.
I think I have just had a show but not sure. I'm 40+4 and had backache and false starts for a week and went to loo earlier and had big clump of discharge and a few tiny spots of pink blood. I have had increased discharge for weeks but this was quite a bit. I have read it meant to be pink but mine was more green (snot colour)

Has anyone had this and if so how long after show did you have baby???

Apologies again for graphic details

That's exactly what mine looked like as it plopped onto the floor of the shower

Didn't go into labour till 6 days later though. Sorry

CuppaTeaJanice · 25/12/2009 22:08

A bit like that jelly that you get in pork pies between the meat and the pastry, but with pink tinges in it.

Haven't been able to eat the things since.

Bump02 · 25/12/2009 22:17

Thanks ladies, I am so bored of this waiting game! Hope it won't be too long now! Ha ha the pork pie is exactly how to describe it

PMSL...this has realy made me laugh ! My show was at 9am and I had my baby at 11.55am the same day....Goodluck BUMP02 looks like you are on the way.

DC2 - seemingly never ending wiping of pink tinged slime and gloop. I knew what it was, put it that way.

DC1 - waters went before established labour so just say pink slimey bits in the fluid.

Things are starting a bit then, how exciting

Well, I went to the loo this morning with a dull backache and had a wee. On wiping discovered what looked like a snotty milky bogey on the tissue. Pretty smallish but would be large if it came out of a nostril!

Am 37 + 2 at the mo.

Hope things are moving for you!

BedfordFallsResident · 26/12/2009 21:43

I've said it on here before and i'll say it again - mine looked exactly like a Creme Caramel in my pants!!!

HTH

BedfordFallsResident · 26/12/2009 21:44

Oh and that was at 2AM and i had him at 5AM the following day....

Bump02 · 27/12/2009 15:38

Hi ladies Well I'm still pregnant 40+6. Since xmas day show nothing really happened, however, today I have been wiping what I can only describe as slime since last night and some is pink tinged now so I am guessing that is things happening a bit more. Have had tightenings on and off all day and am currently having pains every 15 minutes give or take a few minutes, but nothing that is making me rush.
Will keep you posted if anything happens. Good luck to you all expecting and thanks for all your advice too.

Hi Bump02 is there still a green colour to your discharge? The snot like slime (sooo lovely to be a woman..!) is normal but if you think it looks green give the midwife or hospital a quick ring incase they think it could indicate meconium (the baby's first bowel movement)

Of couse, you may already have had the baby by the time you read this...

Good luck! xx

Bump02 · 28/12/2009 23:09

Hi ladies No more green discharge it went clear and blood streaked.

Went to hospital last night around 6.30pm, was a long wait in triage but at 8pm was confirmed in labour at 4 to 5cm. To cut a long story short, because it's not very long Labour progressed well and with just gas and air our baby girl Emily arrived at 00.56 on 28/12/09.

All at home, breast feeding well, I feel great...might as well make most of it as I'm sure I'll be pooped in a few days.

Thanks for chat on here ladies x
