...I think. I currently sat on my own, waiting for DH to come home from work, terrifed. Please lie tell me it'll be fine... (and shouldn't it have started hurting by now?)

Good luck with tomorrow.

Fwiw I taught a boy called Santa once (he was Japanese though)

Good luck - my waters broke on Christmas morning 3 years ago [sigh] enjoy your new baby, a very special present. Not sure about Rudolph FWIW

Very envious, FPCT... I was due last Sunday and am still waiting. Get the feeling this may drag on until the beginning of Jan at this rate, wondering how desperate I'll have to get to start taking heed of some of the more energetic old wives tales to get things going . Good luck, will be watching with interest and envy!

hi all,

sorry for the delay, it's been a busy Christmas! Luke Edward was born on Christmas day just before 2pm. Bit of a traumatic birth - won't go into too much detail as no one wants to hear about that sort of thing... but the upshot seems to have been that no one noticed the amount of blood I was loosing and so bit of panic when iron levels taken just before discharge and had to stay in hospital for 3 blood transfusions - got home last night.

We've had problems with feeding which we are slowly getting sorted after having to give him formula for first couple of days until very nice older midwife stopped telling me that babies all know how to latch and as long as I had milk it'd be fine, and instead helped me get him latched on.

anyway, I have a healthy gorgeous boy, which was the main thing, thank you all for your support!

Congratulations!

Well done you

This is MN and we like the gory details btw

SherryMerryLennipillar · 30/12/2009 20:56

Congratulations! Am mourning the lack of gory details though. Good luck with the feeding - keep at it and it will get easier in the end, if it doesn't then find a local breastfeeding counsellor who you feel at ease with, mine saw me through many times.

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 30/12/2009 21:00

Great stuff!!

We love gory details [unless it is upsetting for you obviously ]
