Can I use pile cream if I've got stitches...?

I had them before birth and had been applying cream prescribed by Dr but after "popping" out 10lb 5 oz DS on Tuesday, they are worse than ever. I had bad tear and lots of stitches so I'm not sure whether I'm ok to use the cream still. I've put a call into midwife to see if she knows, but nothing yet. Getting desperate

Did they also give you Lactulose in the hospital? It gives you evil wind but works.

yes. pile cream fine. also drink plenty and lactulose to soften.
