Is anyone watching 'Home Birth Diaries' on Discovery Home & Health?

I'm addicted!

They are a little on the old side (seem to date from 2004 or thereabouts). But, on the whole, they are interesting, non-scaremongering programmes of women giving birth (mostly) at home.

The only drawback is that they've been scheduled at 5am so I'm recording them.

Also, they have a great selection of birth scenarios, i.e. most succeed in giving birth at home but a few in the series transfer to hospital and there are plenty of VBACs too.

Have seen them all...about 7 times each, along with all the other 'birth' shows. Seriously, as soon as I see the pg woman featured I could probably tell you what she has and the weight of the baby...! SHAMEFUL!!! Love it though! xxxx

me too! I was the same as decafgirl when pregnant with ds1.

I used to record them and make dh watch them when he got in from work!!

Yes, I've been watching them, they are fab!

I was particularly impressed with yesterday's one - blonde girl from Kent - she appeared to have had a Brazilian wax in order to give us a decent view of the baby's exit. Amazing photography!

Oohh yes! Yesterday's one with the blonde girl and Virginia the midwife was absolutely amazing and quite inspiring.

That episode alone should be mandatory viewing for all student Obstetricians in my opinion.

My DH also groans when I say there's another one recorded waiting for him.....
