5 days overdue and reduced movement

I'm 5 days overdue. I was at hospital yesterday as BP up slightly (though not really that high). Fetal monitor showed everything OK.

I've not felt much movement today though. I had ice cream which had no impact and then some coffee and a sugary snack, which did seem to trigger an immediate response. But overall, the amount of movement is a lot less than usual.

Not sure whether I should be worried about it? Some days are less active than others anyway and it's not like there has been no movement.

Hi there

I am also 5 days overdue! I have had a couple of days where movement seemed a bit less, but then picked up later in day. Might be worth ringing hosp just in case, see what they say.

Good luck and hope you don't have to wait too much longer!

Thanks for that. I'll give it a bit longer and then maybe ring hospital if still no more movement. I've got a m/w app for a sweep tomorrow anyway, but don't want to wait if there are issues.

I think I'm just being paranoid, because of the waiting. It's rubbish, isn't it? Think it's taking it's toll on my mental state! I keep trying to be patient and serene, but I'm failing miserably!

Hope you have yours soon too!

I think we must be twins-I am also booked in for a sweep tomorrow! so hoping that does the trick. I know what you mean about the waiting...it is driving me a bit mad. Fingers crossed!

I remember there was a significant decrease in movement towards the end of my pregnancy and DD was born at home no problems, so there isn't necessarily a complication. Do have it checked if in any doubt though.

Good luck to you both!
