I'm 25 weeks with 2nd baby, soon to move to Market Harborough. 1st son was born via emerg c-section. Really want to try for natural delivery. Can anyone give me some inside info on the hospitals in the area????

When I asked my gp for advice, he said he'd go for the one with the best care for the baby if anything went wrong!

I reckon LRI is as good as anywhere for paediatrics.

That probably doesn't help, does it?

Good luck when it comes.

When I was in KGH, there were people from Market Harborough. I was there twice - it is (was) rather tatty but the care I got was very good (and the obstetrics consultants were very good too). I'd go there again.

Hi I live in Market Harborough have had 3 babies in Kettering and expecting my 4th in January. Most of my friends had there babies at Kgh. Those with families in Leicester tend to go to Leicester hospitals. Kettering is closer only 15- 20 minutes away whereas LGH or LRI can be a much longer journey and the roads can be busier 30-40 mins. (to be considered when in labour!!) Leicester hospitals also alot busier from what friends have said. Its up to you?
