Hmm wasn't sure what to call this thread!! Being a generally curious type who is in general very familiar with her body(!) and currently 39+3 i have recently begun to monitor the changes to my own cervix. For a week or so now it has been very very soft and squishy and i can easily insert a finger into it up to about the first knuckle. Today i have had loads and loads of BH and this afternoon my cervix feels totally different. its stil very soft but also very very smooth. I can still easily insert a finger although not as far in. What does this mean?? Is this a normal change? I thought it stayed really soft and just gradually blended in with the surrounding tissues once you were in labour??
