John and Lizzies has had a refurbishment

Hi,
I am a midwife at John and Lizzies and just wanted get some feedback from people about the Birth Unit at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth.
Do you know about us and if not would you?, if so what you think, have you looked around and your first impressions etc. Please be honest as am doing some research. If I can be of any help also with any queries or questions you have please feel free to contact me.

We now have a website which is www.thebirthunit.org.uk and we do open tours on a Saturday at 11am

I have to say that I dislike websites where pricing is not included.

Maybe you do have prices on there, but I couldn't find them, which amounts to the same thing.

Many other private antenatal / birth units offer your services, and are upfront about they cost.The Portland for example, are very explicit on their website about their charges.

With the exception of the super-wealthy, private maternity care will be a significant expense for most of your customers, and when comparing hospitals the cost of each will be very relevant.

So why not just put the prices on the bloody website, rather than making them ring up for the information?

Hi I had my daughter there and thought it was lovely (especially Sandra who was the nicest midwife I have ever encountered, I literally have tears in my eyes remembering her loveliness...kissing my forehead whilst I was pushing through a ventouse) apart from the food which was cold/lukewarm most of the time. My consultant was Ed Dorman who was fab but the actual guy who stitched me was such an arse, a really horrid consultant who was patronising and actually a bit nasty. He also did a rubbish job and I have a horrible skin tag.

Thanks for your feedback notanumber. I thought the website had prices on but if it's difficult to find then I will feed this back as we definitely want to be transparent.
