i've had hydradenitis suppurativa for years (abcesses/boils in the groin - nice!) Last pregnancy (resulted in DD) i had 9 months free from symptoms, which was ace... this time (it's going to be DS - wonder if there's a hormone difference?!) I've been getting fairly regular outbreaks...

i have a particularly painful one at the moment (am 30 wks) and it's just struck me that if i happen to have an open wound at time of birth it could be a bit iffy.... i mentioned my condition in med history at booking - MW hadn't heard of it, and i haven't given it another thought until just now (whilst shuffling around like John Wayne feeling sorry for myself!) ....

I'll ask her when i next see her, but just wondered if there were any wise MNers who might have had experience of this or useful thoughts to share? (fingers crossed!)
