Has anyone had Endometritis following childbirth?
I have had 3 post-partum hemorrhages and was swabbed for infection which came back as Group C Strep. I have received treatment for this (Metrodizanole and Cefalexin and then Erythromycin) but am still having symptoms of infection: pain in stomach, green-ish discharge, lethargy, headache, palpatations and light-headedness. I had retained placenta (discovered at 6 weeks)and had a D&C.
I'm not due to be re-swabbed for another 2 weeks, but am frightened I've got Endomtritis as many of my symptoms seems to point to that.
Has anyone had Endometritis and what treatment did you have? I am really worried, and could do with some sucess stories.
I just generally feel ill at the moment, and am worried the Drs just think I'm a hypocondriact and are going to stop seeing me soon!! My baby is almost 10 weeks old and I feel like I've not been able to enjoy him yet because I've been feeling so poorly
