Waterbirth after c-section

Had c-section with DS2 due to him being breach. Am currently expecting DC3, and would really like the option of a water birth. There are birthing pools at the hospital I will be attending. I will be seeing the consultant at my 20 week scan, and would like to discuss this option, but has anyone any experience of this?

I was in the pool with DS3 which was a VBAC attempt. (he got stuck though so ended up with CS) It was actually the MW's who suggested it, I hadn't been sure I would be 'allowed' but they were all for it. It does depend on the the staff at the hospital though - think it varies a lot. You should be allowed though.

That sounds promising asuwere. I had my first DS naturally but had a long labour, epidural, bad tear and infected stitches. Was secretly pleased when DS was breach and can honestly say I recovered much quicker after the c-section. This time I would like to try for a natural birth, and really would like to try a waterbirth - if possible and available. You've given me hope so fingers crossed the consultant and midwives agree.
