Hello all I hope you can help.

I gave birth to a ds3 18 days ago and this morning the bleeding finally seemed to have stopped and I had brown discharge, however this afternoon the bleeding has come back, not terribly heavy but enough to coat a sanitary towel and there are some small clots and what looks like some Placenta, in fact I know its Placenta as with ds1 a week after I had him I passed a piece the size of a 50p.
Is it normal to still be bleeding after 18 days and passing Placenta now?
I dont have a temperature or anything, should I just leave it a few days and see?

Peaches I'm not sure. This is what it says on babycentre:

www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/youafterthebirth/clotexpert/

It sounds pretty normal but perhaps it would be a good idea to give your midwife a call if you're at all concerned.

Congratulations by the way

Thank you MiniMarmite. Maybe it was a clot then if I go by babycentre...I'll keep an eye on it.
