Pain from tear 8 years ago?

dd2 was born very quickly 8 years ago and I had a 2nd degree tear which had some stitches at the time and seemed to heal no problem.

Over the last 6 months or so I have noticed soreness and pain during sex (depending on position!) I finally had a look in a mirror and the tear looks a bit weird, like it is beginning to come apart!!

I guess this is a GP visit and repair?? Anyone had this after such a long time?

I've heard of so many tear/epi scars not being right and causing problems years after the birth so you're definitely not alone.
My epi scar still aches if I'm tired and yet it healed really well. Scar tissue takes much longer to heal than we imagine and so because you said it looks strange, I would go and ask to have it looked at/sorted out.
My sil actually had a repair job (done by a plastic surgeon) as she was stitched rather hastily and suffered discomfort for a good few years after.
