3rd, 4th and 5th babies do they tend to come early or late?

[1dilemma]

Asked the same on larger families but know it's not to busy over there so asking again on this one.

I remember midwives saying third labour is different ie if first two were late it will be early etc etc.

But what happens after that do subsequent babies revert to type? ie if first and second were late they will be too or do they stay like the third?

dp thinks they all get earlier, I think they revert to type

1 and 2 were both 10 days early, and 3 was 21 days early. In the unlikely event I have another I'll come back and let you know!

All 3 of mine were early. Dd 36 weeks, ds1 38 weeks, ds2 39 weeks.

DD1 41 weeks
DD2 42 weeks

DTs induced 37 + 3

DD5 39 + 2, much surprising me as I expected to go overdue again.

DS1 36 weeks
DS2 40 weeks
DD1 42 weeks - induced.

This one, when its ready I don't doubt.

dd1 40 + 8
dd2 40 + 11
ds1 40 + 11
dd3 40 + 21 induced, she didn't want to budge!
ds2 39 + 3 induced due to gd thankfully, if he'd followed the trend I'd still be pregnant 4 months after due date

ds1 39
ds2 39+4

So for me all pretty similar

bigcar eeek at the 21day overdue!

dd1 was 2 days early
dd2 was 2 weeks early (induced bad spd)

soon to be ds1 no idea! but will be interesting as i have no set pattern to go on really! mind you i am possibly having a c sec so guess i will never know!

how about the speeds? as my first was 24hrs and my second 3hours!

i have heard that once you get going in labour with subs it can happen quickly its just that initial getting going lol

dd 40+5
ds2 40+7 (induced)
ds3 40+6
ds4 40+8 (much scrummaging and double sweeps to start)
ds5 40 (induced)
