Epiziotomy scar pain still after 9months - anybody else experience this?

Hi, I was not sure where to put this question so here it is.
My stitching healed very fast and it is almost invisible. Had it checked by a gynecologist, all seemed perfect. However, it still hurts when we try for an intercourse. It gets better after a while but I wonder if my bottom will ever be pain-free? I recently got my period back and using a mooncup is also painful while putting it in.
I have never imagined that it would hurt for so long. Does anybody experience a similar thing I wonder?

Hi. Yes I experienced this too. My scar was painful for about a year or so after DS1 was born. This is why they prefer trying to let you tear naturally as it heals better.

I have now got DS2 (5 years after DS1) and didn't even tear, let alone need an epiziotomy, so it will get better eventually.

Thanks so much, this is reassuring!
