I did a class for my first dc, and used the breathing techniques during labour--was v good and helpful, actually. Had no clue about the pushing, so was very grateful for nurse counting with me, tellling me what to do when etc....

Trouble is, I forgot it all-deep breathing at the beginning, shallow later? When? How? How was that with the phases? what does -3 mean again? My hospital doesn't offer refresher courses and do not want to shell out huge amounts of money just to go 'oh right, I remember now' after 5 min. Not to talk about not wanting to shell out for babysitter to watch dd1 while in lengthy class....help, anybody?
