sounds promising, dont over do it incase u do go into labour , you will need the energy! i am 36 +3 by midwife dates or 37+2 by my dates and so ready now. my other 2 were born at 36 and 37 weeks so here's hoping this one wont be long!

IrishDraught · 03/09/2009 11:56

I was 2cm first time and nothing happened though I did go into labour with just one pessary (?) when induced. 2nd time I was 4cm for the sweep and started naturally hours before induction How many days are you away from possible induction? I think things sound pretty good though, good luck!

franfoxy2003 · 03/09/2009 12:01

im 5 days away from induction hoping i wont need it though! apparently my constant tightenings for past 3-4 days are a good sign too!

I'm in the same boat as you FF! Had a sweep (also 1cm dilated), 2 days of constant Br Hicks and some contractions 10 mins apart through the night. Then just stopped! Am having a show constantly for the last 24 hours. Want to avoid induction (next tues also!). Keep me posted with you- hopefully it will spur me on in following!!!

franfoxy2003 · 03/09/2009 13:28

how strange lol, last week i was having contractions every 6-7 mins through the night but obviously that led to nothing!

nothing has happened yet but i suppose sweep was only a few hours ago haha!

Well good luck! I've had no action today. Feeling so down!!! But going for a walk again to buy more pineapple!!

Whitetara · 03/09/2009 15:02

Hi, I also had a kind of sweep, though not a very thorough one as it hurt too much. Same dilation etc as you, and a show the other day, but so far no other signs.

Good luck! Hope things get started very soon for you.

franfoxy2003 · 03/09/2009 18:18
