DD born at 36 wks, DS at 34+4 and thinking of No3 - any similar experiences?

DD was born at 36 weeks and DS at 34+4. Both were fine although DS had 2 nights in special care mainly as a precaution and they both had bad jaundice.
Am vaguely thinking of No 3 but would quite like to know my chances of having an even earlier baby.
There didn't seem to be a reason why the others came early and they were both an OK weight. The consultant I saw after DD was quite dismissive and said the chances of having another early one were 10%- I was obviously one of the 10%.

Anyone had lots of 'moderately premature' babies??

my ds1 was born at 36weeks, came home after 2 days.o special care. and ds2 was born at 37 weeks, came home after 3 hours. curently 36/37 weeks with no signs ofbirth but midwife did say there was a good chance i'd be early again but its not a definate.
i am 2/5 engaged but i think with 2nd plus pregnancies he head can pop in and out.

Hi OP, would suggest you visit the BLISS parents messageboard - there is an active pregnancy forum there with lots of us who have had various experiences. Based on personal experience I would suggest you at least think about seeing a preterm birth specialist before TTC.

Hi,

DD1 was born at 22 weeks (she died though ) and dd2 was born at 34 weeks, and after 2 weeks in scbu, was fine. No reason for either of the early labours, they just happened. Ds was born, 14 days overdue (after being induced) and dd3 was born 4 weeks overdue via emergency c section (the dates were wrong) I was told during both the later pregnancies that the babies would almost certainly be premmie again. They werent!
