gave birth to my 2nd DC 5 months ago.

I've always had very weak stomach muscles and after this birth I've had separated abs (not getting any better yet), and strained myself this last month due to being at my mum's on holiday with 2 kids and bending into travel cots etc.

Have a hard bulge as well, which is beneath my umbilical cord. from scary internet reading it looks as if it could be a hernia. has anyone had this? any help much appreciated!

I developed one when I was about 6/7months pregnant, still got it now but rarely hurts - like you describe I can feel a firm lump under my navel.

My GP offered to refer me but I've had 2 sections in the last 2.5 years so I don't want any more ops just yet! Especially ones where you don't get a lovely baby after.

If it's bothering you, you could ask for a referral to a surgeon - they may offer an op to repair it, it's often a day surgery thing now. HTH
