Hi everyone I'm just posting this out of curiosity really when I had my last child I was offered two paracetamol and just wondered whether anyone else had? This was not that long ago, OK I have had some quite OK labours but I can kind of remember saying something along the lines of 'are you joking'?
(I didn't have a headache at the time! LOL)

yes. it was over the phone, we'd rung the labour ward as my waters had broken a few hours earlier and contractions were starting to become painful. was advised to take 2 paracetamol and have a bath! i had the bath. but didn't bother with the paracetamol. the hospital i went to encourage staying at home as long as possible. by the time i went in i was 8cm dilated and ended up only having a couple of puffs of g&a before giving birth.

second time round, as i'd done it before with very little pain relief, decided to give it a go again. did use g&a a bit in the end, until the mouth piece broke!

but i've been lucky with my births, they've both been intervention free, no tear or cuts or stitches, and relatively quick. ds was out in 3 pushes!
