Bleeding after childbirth - when does it stop?

Because mine seems to have stopped after 2 weeks TMI - but it has been quite mucousy for the past week, rather than fresh blood. And yesterday it turned to sort of clear mucous.. and I haven't bled a drop, not even a smear, since yesterday afternoon. There is now barely any clear mucous either. at all of the mucous references.

Is that normal? Will it start up again? I'm expressing if that makes any difference.

TIA

It could definitely start up again. Mine stopped and started several times and went on for about 6 weeks. Mind you, you could be lucky either and it could be finished up. I think I heard somewhere that the average is 23 days?

Mine lasted 6 weeks (both times) but it was light for the last 4 weeks or so.

Ask your midwife if you're unsure about anything (or HV if you've already been handed over)

Mine was about 6 weeks.
It stopped, but then started again about a week later. Soon after that I started getting stomach cramps which got worse. Turns out I had an infection (apparently fairly common with forceps delivery). Best to ask HV though if you're not sure, but as posted above, you may just be lucky!

About 6 weeks here both times too.

Hope you're just one of the lucky ones but do check with your mw if you're worried

It was 2 1/2 weeks for me after both DC, it happened just as you describe too.
