Head engaged-how long to go?

Hi. I'm 34 weeks with baby no 2. Ds was born at 41 weeks exactly.

I have been told that the baby's head is "very well engaged".

Does this have a bearing on how soon the bub will appear? Especially as its a second pregnancy.

Obviously I don't want her to be early but this is really getting quite painful!

i think with a 2nd baby its more likely the baby will keep popping in and out of being engaged, but i dont really know

NOOOOOO! I was hoping a bit early. Oh well. I'll have to get used to waddling.

Ok this is actually looking quite bad. Looks like early engagement=later baby.

ds was engaged, then not, then engaged again, then not... finally settled down at about 39 weeks. gave birth at exactly 41!

I have had 3 babies and none of their heads were engaged untill birth.

My DS's were both engaged from about 36 weeks - one was enduced (at 10 days over) and one was 8 days late
