Has anyone given birth at The Grange Midwife Centre in Peterfield ?

Has anyone given birth at The Grange Midwife Centre in Peterfield ? I am currently deciding between a home birth and The Grange, so keen to hear peoples' experiences at The Grange.

I did and would recommend to anyone. I also was considering a homebirth but sort of talked myself out of it and then my midwife suggested the grange which is sort of home from home. It is fantastic - spotlessly clean, the staff are lovely and you genuinely feel looked after. Even the food is good! I had a lovely water birth and even though i had to be transferred to portsmouth hospital due to complications afetr the birth, i went back to the grange for a couple of days to recover and rest.

Hi, I was lucky enough to have my first baby at the Grange, it was a very positive experience. It is a very 'home from home' feeling which made me feel relaxed. The midwives are very dedicated and really look after you. I was able to have a water birth. The midwives were attentive but not intrusive during my labour, which was exactly what I needed. The after care was amazing. All the best with your decision.

Not bee there myself but only heard great things about it.

I'm hoping to go to The Grange too so watching with interest!

My old boss did and loved it.

I visited them there and it seemed really really lovely.

I have come accross several mummies at toddler groups etc who have used it and never heard a bad word abuout it eiher

I have since moved and have an equally lovely if not nicer midwife unit that i could have used when i had my baby 5 weeks ago, but i opted for a home-birth and am so pleased i did.

I had an amazing home-birth and would never have chosen even the nicest midwife unit over being at home with my own king-size bed (+OH), my own bathroom, my own kitchen with all foods i want avaliable 24/7 to myself and anyone else present...
then there is the fact that you are safer if low risk at home than anywhere else... and (so long as you dont give birth super fast like i did; 7cm (when midwife arrived) to mummy in 15mins) 2 experianced midwives to attend to you and give you 100% attention at all times with no distractions.

Also you can be certain that a pool /anything else you require will be available if you want one, and the unit wont be full
