....it was a very surprise delivery, on her bathroom floor on Tuesday morning!

She was utterly utterly fab throughout it, and has also looked after DS1 for 2 days. I want to get her something but know she won't want anything but we need to say thanks somehow!!!

What would you do in this situation, any ideas? Thanks!

a cleaner

What about a day in a spa?
Eurostar tickets?
but nothing says thanks, like cashmere!

I suspect she may need a new bath mat?

Otherwise send her some flowers and a nice card telling her what a big part she played in one of your life's most vital and emotional moments. That would be thanks enough for me - after all she did get to see a whole new person come into the world and take their first breath - that's hardly a chore is it?

Is her name one you can male-ise (if thats a word) - you could give baby a middle name dedicated to her if you haven't already named him??

Yes I read your story (and had a cry) Congratulations!
My sister was there at dd2's birth and ended up helping dh to dress and feed her as I ended up in theatre..
We gave dd2 my sisters name as a middle name.
Think she was pleased with that 'thankyou present'!
Yes a new bath mat i think! Flowers? Alcohol?
