i had three sweeps, a few contractions after each but labour didnt start after any of them. however when i had the third the midwife told me i was 3cm dilated so something was going on before labour kicked in and it only took 4.5 hrs when it started properly. fingers crossed for you

Had sweep yesterday as I’m 40+5 then started having pains/tightenings in afternoon right until I went to sleep late last night woke up to nothing?! I went for a long walk last night and been on my ball and up and down the stairs. Got another sweep booked for Saturday but really fed up now and want them pains back. Anyone help?

My son was already 12 days overdue when I had a similar (and hugely frustrating!) thing where they were really going then stopped for a couple days. When they came back it really amped up quickly, waters broke and he was born within five hours - 14 days late!

You can feel a lot of different things and baxton hicks in the lead up, which I guess is your body preparing. I was second guessing every little flutter past my due date so I feel your pain!

If you are feeling movements and all is well, try to forget about it, relax and boost your oxytocin as much as poss! Eat nice food, maybe walks, candles, massage, yoga, rocking on ball etc.

Goodluck!
