curry sperm sounds AWFUL, do they do that at your local Indian restaurant?

mckenzie · 17/05/2005 20:19

I had acupuncture on the tuesday afternoon, did a spinning class at the gym on the wednesday morning and gave birth wednesday evening.

Acupuncture or spinning class??? Who knows??

dabihp · 17/05/2005 20:20

lol, you know I am sure some restaurants actually specialise in curry sperm, (eugh yuck, must learn to punctuate properly...)

lmfao@spinning class, can barely walk...

SPINNING CLASS? I think that would probably kill me off and I'm only 4 months pregnant ... I can barely walk upstairs without reaching for my inhaler!

Ok, I know a lot of people really don't recommend this..ut I used castor oil the day before my induction was chedule and had baby 12 hours later with no ill effects. Will certainly go for it again if needed.....
FWIW I hear any help only works as far as your body is "ready". So if you are before due date it migh all be pointless....
Good luck!

starshaker · 17/05/2005 22:32

castor oil is ment to cause marconium(sp) in ur waters but i had that anyway with dd and it didnt do anything. been told by loads of people that works. nothing i tried worked (and that was everything) was a week late and was induced

janeybops · 17/05/2005 22:33

I ate a whole pineapple and that started my contractions within the hour, but my waters had already broken about 30 hours before. I too was desperate as they were trying to get me in to be induced!

pupuce · 17/05/2005 22:56

dabhip, why are you having a section if you don't sound like you want it?
Castor oil works if your cervix is favourable otherwise it can give you very nasty diahorea.
Sperm and nipple tweaking.... Raspbery leaf tea has to be the real stuff and is NOT for inducing anyway but to tone the uterus.

hunkermunker · 17/05/2005 23:02

Yes, sex

Well, I figured it topped and tailed my pregnancy nicely, so to speak...

checky · 17/05/2005 23:32

My suggestion is to go to an acupuncturist. I was having no signs but trying everything..raspberry tea, pineapple, sex and curries but I saw an ac. and within 13 hours had had a gorgeous little boy. 1st baby and labour was less than 2 hours...I bought a nice bottle for the acupuncturist! Got to be worth a try?! Mine is in Brighton if you want his number!

I had refelxology on the tuesday 4pm and Had my baby girl on wednesday.

ButtonMoon · 18/05/2005 09:19

I was desperate not to be induced so had baths and oil burners with a few drops of clary sage in......did this Thurs night and labour started Friday. Think I was in early stages of labour anyhow...had had sweep and had aches all week, so just needed speeding up.

triceratops · 18/05/2005 10:12

I did curry, sex, pinapple, Rasberry tea, clary sage, exercise and nearly tweaked my poor nipples off (not all at the same time) but still had to be induced. They all come out sooner or later, I think due dates are cruel and just there to tease you.

Sorry that you are having a cs dabihp if you don't want one. As far as I know they are not as bad as you think they will be.
