Briefly,

Second baby born within 10 minutes of arriving at hospital yesterday morning. We were both convinced I would have a long labour (first baby took 42 hours).

As they wheeled me in, they told me there was no time for an epidural (the words that strike fear into my heart). Waters broke as I came through the door, baby delivered 8 mins later after three pushes.

Gas and air was all I got.

Anyway, suffice to say that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been. The pains made me scream so must have been bad (screamed all the way down the motorway!!) but the pushing bit was fine with gas and air.

Also no stitches, unlike last time.

So have heart!!
