I got a Theraline caesarean belt from ebay to protect my scar - you can't wear it till stitches out (usually about 5 days) but it's like a bumbag with a cushion and a hard plastic shield that you just position over the area and it's great when a toddler's throwing himself at you as well!

Think they sell them at mothercare as well (sorry, can't do links!)

You should not drive for at least 6 weeks following a c-section. if you were stopped by the police you would be liable as you would not be following doctor's orders. Pushing the clutch in causes a lot of pain as you are exercising the same muscles that have been stitched.

Don't risk it - if you have an accident your insurers are not obliged to cover you for it if you do drive within the 6 week period.
