Mintyy · 11/06/2009 23:07

40+4 crash c/s
39+2 elective c/s

36wks Emerg CS

Claire2009 · 11/06/2009 23:09

Mintyy, What's a crash cs? is that an emerg?

OP posts:
paisleyleaf · 11/06/2009 23:09

2 weeks before due date (elective)

benfmsmum · 11/06/2009 23:11

38+ a few hours - emergency cs

Mintyy · 11/06/2009 23:11

Crash c/s = baby in severe trauma so mum has to have general anaesthetic because not enough time for an epidural or spinal block.

tokentotty · 11/06/2009 23:11

Emergency section with first as labour was going badly. Elective cs for number 2 as was only 16 months after No.1. Booked for the week before due date but went into labour 3 days before. Should have been booked for 2 weeks before due date but that would have been New Year's Eve and consultant was going to be on holiday...

PinkyMinxy · 11/06/2009 23:13

41weeks crash/emcs

39weeks elcs

38weeks unplanned, not a crash like DS, but I guess it would be termed emcs.

needsomesleepplease · 11/06/2009 23:13

41+ emergency cs
38+6 elective cs ( sooo much better!!)

PinkyMinxy · 11/06/2009 23:15

Totally agree. Wish I'd had an elcs this last time, instead of being in labour and not knowing what to do for the best.

Claire2009 · 11/06/2009 23:16

Tokentotty, 14mo between 1 & 2 here, hence why they wouldn't allow me to go any 'later' ..just wish it would've been spoke about more, I was told all the way through I'd be ok to try for natural this time, then told 3days before cs booked I was having that

Mintyy, Thanks I didn't realise it was called crash, my friend had one, severe p/e and a sudden g/a cs.

Claire2009, I was told right from the off that 'they' (medical powers that be) don't encourage natural delivery after CS without a 2 yr gap. Am still quite annoyed that they left my elective until only a week before due date, leaving me far more open to spontaneous labour which was exactly what happened forcing another emergency CS.

cheesesarnie · 11/06/2009 23:25

1st-41 weeks-crash cs
2nd-37 weeks planned but kept going into early labour
3rd-37 weeks planned but as above kept going into early labour so was moved forward.

largeginandtonic · 11/06/2009 23:30

29 weeks emergency section.

Claire2009 · 11/06/2009 23:39

Totty, Both births were in France, I think they liked to tell me things that weren't true Ah well, both got her safe! That's the main thing
Your Dc's are gorgeous!

40+10 Emerg c-sec (induced 3 times in labour for 20 hours then had to have emerg c-sec due to him being in distress with cord wrapped around his neck)

40+5 Elective c-sec (choose that instead of being induced again as it was the worst thing to happen to me ever)

36wks Emerg c-sec (due to eclampsia)

Am currently 25wks pregnant and have a c-sec planned for 39wks although that date might change if my blood pressure rises again

tokentotty · 12/06/2009 00:30

Claire, moments of gorgeousness and No.2 has only narrowly avoided the workhouse thanks to some words of wisdom from TYG (Largeginandtonic will appreciate the wisdom of this wonderful woman!!)

l39 · 12/06/2009 04:58

37 + 3 (Induced with twins, twin1 born vaginally, twin2 emergency section under general anaesthetic)

theselegswermad · 14/06/2009 03:09

35+2 Emerg c-section ( servere Pre-cla/Help)
37+6 Elective section (pre-clampsia)

ilovesprouts · 14/06/2009 03:20

30 weeks em cs due to really bad pre-clamp and 40+ 12 days due to failed induction em cs

nooka · 14/06/2009 05:58

My waters broke 12 days early with both my two. ds was born that day (it was termed an emergency section, but all very civilised, with no labour). With dd I was hoping for a VBAC so they left it until three days later in the hope of contractions and then induced when none materialised (argh, why oh why did I say I wanted to do that) followed by emergency c-section. I also had a sixteen month gap, but the consultant was still ready to give it a try (the senior midwife was very dubious when they hooked me up though).
