So, how true is that business about second babies coming earlier than first babies (especially if the first was early)?

Is it just nonsense, or can I reasonably hope that the baby will be here pretty soon?

DD was born at 39+2 and I'm now 38+3 with DC2, for the record I'm still more curious than desperate...

For moi:

DD 40 +10
DS 40 +12 (induced, would have stayed there FOREVER methinks - v laid back lad!)

sparklefrog · 01/06/2009 11:51

Both my DC were due (by scan dates) on 10th Aug.
Both were born on 8th Aug.
17 years apart.

sparkle- that's amazing!

sparklefrog · 01/06/2009 12:06

Thanks duchesse. I think so, but I might be biased.

1st labour was induced on 6th Aug, DS arrived on 8th.

2nd labour was spontaneous on 8th Aug. Labour lasted 48 minutes.

Hi

DD 35+3
DS 39+6

So doesn't always follow

Kaylo · 01/06/2009 12:27

Also just to add - both were spontaneous labours, and DD's lasted just 3 hours, while DS was 8

I thought it was supposed to get quicker...

Nappyzoneisabeetrootrunner · 01/06/2009 12:28

sorry dd 2 weeks early then 4 yrs on ds who was 2 weeks late (much quicker though so worth the wait to avoid labour marathon)

TamTam29 · 01/06/2009 13:58

with ds1 - I always measured 2 weeks small for dates,

DS1 born 42 weeks

DC2 - i always measured 2 weeks big for dates.

DC2 so far 5 days overdue!!!!!

was expecting him/her to come 2 weeks early so the last few days (particularily with the heat) have been torture!

Dont feel like anything is about to happen either...

norktasticninja · 05/06/2009 18:11

Just popping back to say that it wasn't true for me either! Ho hum!
