If you didn't tear for first birth what are the chances of tearing second time

Says it all really just wondering how many women who didn't tear first time were lucky enough to not tear second time round. I am 33 weeks and worried about tearing as I have not heard of anyone else in rl who didn't. So feel like maybe pushed my luck.

i didn't with either of mine. been very lucky, never needed any stitches or intervention.

Had 4, no tearing.

Either excellent midwifery or fanny like a bucket.

I didn't with either of mine. Did perineal massage with first and I think it helped, but a lot is down to position of baby, size of baby's head and speed of birth. But some don't tear, so don't give up hope, I would really recommend the perineal stretching...

First baby was posterior and had his hand stuck by his head, but my mw was brilliant and told exactly how/when to push and she guided him out gently. I was very surprised I didn't tear. Just hoping my mw this time is as good and that my lady bits are a bit more relaxed .

Just had no3 and he was the only one i a 'tear' rather then a graze.

Although i'm not sure how much of a tear it was as the consultant wanted to put in a stitch i told her not to bother.

DD1 2 1/2 hours pushing then 3 pulls on ventouse skid marks/grazing too small for stitches.

DD2 4 mins pushing skid mark/grazing too small for stitching.

DC3 fingers crossed for a repeat performance!

Thanks to all who posted I am feeling better now as most of you who didn't tear first time also didn't tear second time. So maybe my bucket fanjo may save the day again and avoid a tear .
