so whats it like having DC3???

ds1 was normal birth at 36 weeks, 4 hour labour. Ds2 was normal birth a 37 weeks 1 1/2 hour labour, whats dc3 going to be like??

DS1 10 days late quick labour
DS2 10 days late quick labour
DD1 14 days late very long labour...

I should add she was small compared to the boys and i'm convinced that made a difference.

I didn't manage to do it that efficiently any of the 3 times so I'm not sure I'm qualified to help you on this one - I would guess about 20minutes by your track record though good luck

oh god help me then tamarto!! i am also expecting a girl this time round and was told that DC3 can be unpredictable!! scared it wil be a long process!!

I'm on no.3 too, ds 1 at 37 weeks, 14 hours
dd1 at 38 weeks 2hours and 10 mins. Am 37 weeks today, and have been having mild contractions for a few days now, have constant backache and period type pain, have started to lose plug and am very fed up. Am thinking this is going to be a very long process! This one is also a girl. I was told dc3 can be unpredictable aswell, by midwife and friends.

i know, i was banking on quicker too!! oh crap!!
good luck froggy, sounds like your on your way. i had heard from midwife that with DC3 it can take some time to get into proper labour but then it can go quick. i hope so!!

ds1 - 6 hours after being induce (5lbs)
ds2 - 10 hours - 10days over and at home (8lbs 10 oz)
ds3 - 12 hours - sick throughout arrived on due date and had him at home (7lb 13oz)
def the worst labour sorry!

Just had DC4 but wantedto share with you in case things happen differently to your expectations:

DS - 16 hours on synto after PROM
DD1 - 5 hours
DD2 - just less than 2 hours
DD3 - 3 hours on synto after ROM with meconium. Had anticipated a quick natural labour given the past two most recent labours so be prepared for anything to happen that could dash those expectations! Good luck.

dd1 (14 day late) had mild pains after induction, a few strong contractions and out she came, shocking the midwife!
dd2 (4 days late) 1 1/2 hours from first twinge to holding her
ds1 (on due date) first twinge at around 3 a.m. born at 5 p.m. This felt like a real labour to me, it was great. Slow progression, contractions getting stronger over time. I really enjoyed it, the other two were too fast for my liking.

DS1 was 5 days early 8 hour labour bad tearing waterbirth.
DS2 was 3 days early 3 1/2 days early labour then quick waterbirth
DS3 was 3 days late had 6 days ago, he practically fell out.
Quick labour, in the pool 20 mins.
Id do it again!!
