Come on Baby G!

Just had a text from my friend. She's in the hospital, possibly about to be induced.
We're very excited because she's 14 days late, had a failed sweep on Monday, but was 2cm dilated on Friday morning.
Do you think they'll leave her to get on with it or or start the induction to get things moving?

I reckon they might start the induction - but hope they don't. My sister was induced and had a horrendous labour.

They will most likely push to induce but your friend can say no if she wants or specify what type of inducement she wants. At 2 weeks overdue not sure she would care though.

Ok, she stayed in overnight whilst the monitored her contractions which were "mild & ineffective", so she was starting induction about midday. I' sitting here, staring at my mobile, waiting for the text!!

Is it a first baby if so put the phone down and look tomorrow. Although for your friends sake hopefully she will go sometime tonight.

2nd baby.
Her DS was induced at 10 days but still took another 2 day to get out!
At 6 her waters had broken and she was having contractions. I think they did an ARM.

Gosh, read your OP and thought, MamaG can't be having another baby, can she?? LOL. [stupid emoticon] Different BabyG!

I know my friend doesn't MN, and I wanted to keep her anonymity, but was very excited about her news!

Oh please don't apologize, I'm sure there's no monopoly on MN baby names! (I don't think, anyway - I guess I can't speak for MamaG ) But if another mummy on here had a Jack and called him Jackbaby I doubt I'd mind... well, maybe a little, he is my PFB .
