Had my DS3 at the Luton and Dunstable hospital just 6 days ago. All 3 were by c-section. The first two emergency and third planned. I can't rate the hospital highly enough. The staff have been fantastic, food was good, everything was clean and most importantly they safely delivered my 3 beautiful sons!

It's a large, busy maternity unit. All the consultants I have seen have been great and all the midwives were helpful and friendly. Having stayed there for 3 nights just last week, I can honestly say it was a positive experience!

I cover this area as a doula and I'd say that it entirely depends on what birth experience you are after. If like Toffee Crisp you need medical help to give birth it seems to be a good choice, if you want a natural birth/VBAC then you might be better to consider Watford birth centre or the Lister.

I have 3 natural birth at L&D the last being 8wks ago. And have had 3 good experiences the midwives were all very good.

Yes it was/is very busy but all maternity units are.

Than you all!
I'm going for a VBAC but have a horrible feeling that I may end up with another emcs.
