Hi All,

Im very new at this along with pregnacy as this is my 1st Pregnancy...

My Question is..Can you book a private room at Queens to have the baby in rather than being on a ward? The idea of being on a ward with other people in labour really scares me and i no ill be 10xs happier if im on my own...so is it possible..and how do you go about it?

Thanks

I had my first DS at Queens and all of the births occur in private rooms, as far as I'm aware. After the birth you will go onto a ward with four beds but there are also private rooms that you can book although you can't do this in advance I don't think - it just depends if any are free. Queens do a tour once a week of the labour rooms / wards so it is probably a good idea to do this to put your mind at rest. I had a very good experience at Queens and will be having my second DS there in a few months. Good luck!
