Kidowner you wrote about testing for hernia in another thread I had written. I tested it and what I see when I am on all fours is a small round belly kind of sitting-sagging there with an unpleasant view of wrinkly softy looking extra skin around... looks like it belongs to an 80 year old woman... I need to understand better if I really do have one o rnot... if one has got it, is there a solution for hernia? what about its relation with abdominal separation (diastasis recti)? if the DR is closed (with exercise or surgically) is the hernia under control for good then?

Hi Gugu - I would CAT her if I were you. I had a hernia (an incisional one) and the easiest test is to lie on your back, if it disappears, it's probably a hernia. Or sit, lean forward, cup the lumpy bit and cough, if it pops up and then pops down again, it's probably a hernia. And you cannot repair a hernia through exercise - you can have it surgically repaired though
