Is a 'show' always bloody? Might be TMI here...

I'm almost 39 weeks and (supposed to be) having a C-section next week. This morning when I went to the loo, I felt a small 'blob' fall out of me but couldn't see what it was. Since then I think I've just been having more than normal of the creamy white discharge but it's not stained with blood.

Bugger, if it is the start of something we don't really have a plan B for taking care of DS, especially over a weekend!

I had that near the end of pg, and was told it could be the mucus plug and it doesn't have to be bloody. It was a good week or so before labour properly kicked in after that though, so fingers crossed for you!

mine weren't bloody as such - more like pink snot but then there was usually a red streak somewhere in there too.
I'd get checked by MW if you can put your mind at rest- good luck!

WIth dd it was a massive bloody snotty blob No mistaking it.
With ds, it was lots of stringy white blobs that I lost for about an hour before my waters broke without warning, and he was born 3.5 hours later

Thanks. It seems to have stopped now so lets hope it's just a very very early warning sign!

Last time nothing happened until my contractions had been going about 12 hours, but it was (like LLs) a bloody snotty blob. I actually got my husband to show the maternity towel to the MW . I think he was mortified but hid it as well as he could! The thing is, my waters had already gone and I thought it was meconium! Plus, they make out in antenatal classes that it will be just a little bit of pink stuff, not some red/brown/green scary monster slime.

I posted the exact same thing a few weeks back when I was due. My show wasn't bloody either but it was definitely the real thing as labour started 72 hours later.
