sweep then bloody show. Pregression?

Hi all,

I had a sweep yesterday, but my cervix wasn't favourable. Although she said she was able to get in there quite well and it did hurt!
This is my 3rd baby, but I was only 1cm dilated with a soft, uneffaced tight cervix.
She got the mucus plug when she did the sweep and last night (9 hours later) I had a large bloody show.
Nothing else of note apart from back pains.
Is this labour starting / progressing? Or did the show happen because she disturbed the cervix?
I am 40 + 1.

If you've had your show you're on your way - both times I've gone into labour within 72 hours of my show.

Im 40+3 with Ds3 and had a sweep yesterday been up since 1.30am with contractions and just lost some of mucus plug.
Just want contractions to be more regular. Feel like im in total limbo.
how are you getting on...

KEAWYED, I haven't had any contractions. Only BH as normal. Actually had quite a good nights sleep.
I feek like I'm in total limbo and that everyone is having their baby but me!
Did your other ds's come early / late?
How are your contractions coming on now? Are they more productive / regular?
Hoping it's going well for you and that it comes on for me soon too

hi cloveofhislife, i had him at 6.51pm on the 12th.
Cant believe how quick it all happened, 2 pushes and he was out.
wer home now knackered but happy.
