Edgarcat - what about the day he tells you he's moving out!!!

I would STILL be waiting to open it if I had waited until ds slept through the night.

Just open it!! Who needs an excuse!

We did that with DS2. I can't remember what "occasion" we drank it on. First non-explosive nappy, first sick free day, being able to sit comfortably...

I agree with mum2toby - just drink it!

Just drink it tonight for no good reason!!! If you are breastfeeding you could drink over two nights but make sure you use a proper Champagne bottle closer to reseal the bottle overnight or you'll lose the fizz.

Treat yourself - run a warm bubble bath, get partner to look after baby (if awake), get a book, light a candle and take a glass of fizz with you and ENJOY!!!

Go on, drink it (if you haven't already!) BTW, if you put a teaspoon into a bottle of champagne, it won't go flat.
