39wks pg with dc1 - am suffering dreadfully with piles. Have had them a couple of weeks now, since baby's head engaged but over the last few days they have become unbearable. They feel like grapes sticking out of me!
have been using cream - is there anything else I can do?
My main worry is what will happen to them during labour? I am so scared at the thought

Sorry you are suffering. Can you go to the gp's asap to find out what treatment they can offer after the birth, it would save you having to do it once the baby is here. There might be some stronger stuff you can use once you're not pregnant, with luck your gp might be able to do a prescription now to save you panicking after the birth.

I didn't suffer from piles too badly but did get a rotten anal fissure which made me miserable for ages. Hope you get it sorted and an action plan in place .

Thanks, I think I will try and go on Monday.

The thought of what could happen to them fills me with dread!

Olive oil or vaseline and pop em back in it stops the pain.
