Well im 40+2 and have been going for walks to try and encourage the baby to come

Today I have woken up with a really heavy pain in my lady bits?? just wondered if this was a sign of impending labour (Think I am just grasping at straws lol)

As per my other post I am still having irregular contractions as well

Going for a sweep today so will mention it to the midwfife xx

Morning Pilki. I really feel for you as I am trying very hard not to think about it but it is quite tricky isn't it? Anyway, the sensation you describe I think is to do with the baby descending into your pelvis. Does that sound plausible? Do you have the sensation of lightening, ie more space in your abdomen, as well? But it also means there can be more pressure on your bladder, so do you feel as if you need to go for a wee more frequently? Good morning with the sweep! Just enjoy this time. I remember having my first and then looking at all the first time pregnant ladies around and being slightly envious of them in that position where they can savour the anticipation and rest as much as possible! Mad but understandable when you realise how little sleep you get with a newborn .
