any experience of having three contractions at a time?

Hi, my husband and I are planning to try for our third baby. With our previous two my labour didn't build up gradually, I started with intense contractions straight away and I had three at one go, then had a break and then another three and so on. The midwife noticed this and said what it was referred to, but I don't remember what she said. Has anyone else experienced this? I really want to try to go as long as possible without pain relief next time round. I also got moaned at for being in labour for 12hrs with my second as I "shouldn't have taken so long" according to a midwife on the postnatal ward. Any ideas of how I can shoot the baby in 5 mins? I'd hate to inconvenience anyone, but I was having so much fun last time.
Thanks for any advice
Kerry
