Is there any relation between low lying baby at 30 weeks and premature delivery?

As the title says, if anyone has any experience of this. Basically, I had my 30 week midwife apt today and fundal measurement was somewhere between 25-27cm. Fortunately, they fitted me in for a scan and the baby's growth looks normal. The sonographer suggested that the fundal measurement was small because the baby's head is very low.
Although I was relieved, I've now started worrying about premature delivery. Does anyone know if this is something I should be worried about, or is it 'just one of those things'.

I dont think you need to worry- my last child was 'low lying' and i was so worried about it, I had a scan, and she was noted to be a little small.....i worried for weeks, had scan repeated and not much had changed (still low, still small) in the end i was induced a week after my due date, she was fine, a completly normal, straight forward birth (almost too easy after the first one!)weighed 6llbs 6 oz, and is now a bright, beautiful girl

Thank-you, that's very reassuring. My panic has subsided a bit. I remember a friend of mine whose 2nd baby was very low lying and the midwives etc kept saying that she wouldn't make her due date etc. Of course, she ended up being induced at 40+....
