I'm having mild contractions - worth timing them??

For the past hour I've been having contractions which are as bad as period pain but no worse - haven't been making me wince or even take paracetamol.

They have been coming about 5 mins apart but are irregular in length. I've not had any other symptoms like a show. I'm 38+5 btw.

So is it worth timing these or should I just think "hmm, probably pre-labour" and get on with my evening?

Oh and also do you time a contraction until it peaks or until it's gone completely.

It's DC2 but I was induced first time round so bit clueless about going naturally....

I would say get on with your evening. I had pre labour like this for days before the real thing.

Good luck.

I would just get on with your eevening tbh, if it is the real thing' then it will get worse and then you will know. Good luck.

agree with others get on with evening then if they start getting more painful and lasting longer time them. As for show this can go when you're way into labour, I didn't get mine until I went to the hospital and I wass 7cms by then.

I would try and ignore them and do what I would normally do.

Good luck!

Agree with others if they are no worse then period pains I wouldnt time them just yet, try to carry on with your evening as normal. Believe me when it's the real deal you wont't be able to ignore them.
All the best.

This can go on for days but when you have one that cannot be hip-rocked away, and kind of takes your breath away you will know.

Good luck
