Who could I have at my baby's birth?

really wondering who could be there with me.

With DS, DH was with me and my doula stayed with the older kids.

This time, I won't have a doula and (very probably) DH will stay with DS (who will be 14 months old, so no one please suggest he comes and watches!! )

I'm not that close (emotionally or physically!) to my mum and don't really have any friends I could honestly say I would / could ask...

Not sure if I should look into asking a doula or other professional person to be with me just for the birth itself (will have a CS, so pretty planned)

Anyone got any advice?

thanks, HM

Could you ask someone to have DS so that DH can be with you?

I've had children for my friends.

Thanks BFB...

trouble is, DH doesn't really want to be there.... He really didn't have any excuse last time, but this time would much prefer to stay with DS...

And I think (know!) my mum will be offended if she doesn't get chosen first to look after DS (esp. as the birth will be planned, so we'll know when it's going to happen!)
