3 weeks post partum with my first, lochia stopped a week ago...

... and I'm having sex again. Using condoms just to be on the safe side (am breastfeeding every couple of hours or so during the day but only once or twice at night).

Not that this should affect me unduly but is there any way of ascertaining whether or not I've begun ovulating again? Would really like to arm myself with this info prior to the 6 week checkup.

I don't understand why you want to know? It's pretty unlikely. Use ov test sticks?

I can't answer your question but would personally assume it's entirely likely you could be ovulating (I do but that's because I conceive stupidly easily even without regular periods).

I have several friends who conceived while BFing, one has sons with a 10 month age gap. I took no chances with DS2, was in the doctor's 3 days after the birth to get the mini-pill (Cerazette) and have been taking it since with no ill-effect. And yes, we've been having sex too :-)
