Oblique baby at 38+5!!!!!! advice needed

I had my 38 week appt this morning, My midwife cant be sure but thinks baby is in oblique position.

I have scan booked for next Thursday to see for sure and to decide what to do next. At every MW appt baby has been where she should be!!!

Is there anything i can do to get baby in right position, What are the chances that if i go in to labour before appt next Thursday that baby might have moved in to right position.

Sorry for rambling

Thanks

Is the baby engaged at all?

I have been on this site

homepage.ntlworld.com/ilana.m/turnbaby.htm

Don't know whether it applies to oblique babies or not but I wouldn't have thought it could do any harm. I think it might have tipped my baby the right way around (although it isn't engaged and there is plenty of time for it to tip back again!)

Oblique can be ok, it depends where the head is. DD2 was oblique until 33 weeks, but a scan showed that she was 'cephalicy', which meant that although she was oblique, her head was near enough the cervix to rotate properly when in labour. Sure enough, she was birthed naturally when I was induced at 35+3.

DC3 is 35+4 now, and 'oblique' but 'cephalicy' also, they just seem to like to lay that way.
