sex first time after childbirth.....bleeding???

Hallo all...

well, I've waited 7 weeks after the birth of my little one to resume my sexlife...

but after the first time, am having quite a bit of bleeding? We weren't rough or anything, & I thought I was all healed up...it didn't really hurt. So should I be worried?

Had thought it could be implantation bleeding, as was only relying on the breastfeeding method as a form of contraception..but it occurred the morning after so think that's way too soon!

It is possible you still are bleeding post-natally and sex has made it look like a lot. If you have had stitches again you may have caused a scar to come off.

If it continues speak to your MW or Health Visitor next time they see you.

It is too early for implantation bleeding I think.

It is lovely you have the energy and time to resume your sex life - well done!

Do you want to get pregnant again? If not, don't rely on BF. It's probably lochia rather than bleeding from a wound as such. If it happens again or you get any pain or smell go to the GP.
